Our innovation targeted postpartum maternal pain due to incision on perinium following a child birth through episiotomy procedure. The women who experience episiotomy, about 34 to 65.4% incidence in Ethiopia, face extreme pain and discomfort on the perinium for weeks and difficulty to sit, use traditional toilet and possible infection. Our innovation is a non-invasive, affordable and accessible device used to care episiotomy wound. It is the first to market technological solution with multiple functions including pain reliever, sitting and toilet support, labor support and ambulatory service.
